Poetry Out Loud Final Competition!

The 2026 Washington State Poetry Out Loud Final Competition is taking place tomorrow Saturday, March 7th beginning at 1pm at Tacoma Little Theatre, 210 North I Street in Tacoma. The event is FREE and open to the public.
The competition will also be livestreamed via Tacoma Little Theatre’s You Tube Channel.
Nine top-scoring student champions from across Washington will meet in Tacoma to compete for the opportunity to represent our state at the National Finals in Washington D.C. in April. Winners of this year’s Washington Poetry Forward original poetry competition will also be recognized at this event.
Special Guests include State Poet Laureate, Derek Sheffield.
