We are bringing beloved Dublin poet Tony Curtis at The Conway Muse May 3, from 7-8:30 p.m. The lyrical poet and guitar-carrying songwriter is the author of six warmly received collections of poetry, including his recent “The Well in the Rain: New and Selected Poems.” Curtis, whose magical presence as a poet-in-residence has charmed young students throughout the Pacific Northwest, has also published a new book of poems for children, “An Elephant Called Rex and a Dog Called Dumbo.”
One of the most popular Irish poets of his generation, Curtis has been awarded the country’s National Poetry Prize and is a member of the Aosdana, the Irish Academy of the Arts.
The Muse, a wonderful venue for music and literary celebration, is located at 18444 Spruce Street in Conway, just east of I-5 turnoff #221
Entry is by donations, which support the Skagit River Poetry Foundation’s Poets in the Schools program (see stories on this site to experience the incredible classroom experiences).
