We are so happy to announce that with the support of our community we raised $46,000 at our annual Spring fundraiser! That’s $10,000 more than last year’s auction!

We want to give a HUGE THANK YOU to:
  • All of our lovely guests!
  • Business and individual donors of our silent and live auction
  • Auctioneer, Aaron Klesick, and the Stokes Auction Group
  • MC, Mark Strohschein
  • Chef Georgia Johnson and team who made our delicious brunch
  • Derek Sheffield, Washington State Poet Laureate
  • Our student super stars for sharing their poetry with us
  • P.E.O. Chapter JG – La Conner
  • Musicians from Skagit Symphony, Stephanie Bethea and Alan Smith
  • Photo Booth Photographer, Mary Lynn Lyke
  • Christianson’s Nursery & Greenhouse
  • Our amazing volunteers, Board Members, and staff who brought this event together for a memorable afternoon of laughs, energy, and community love and support!

Without your support and belief in our mission we couldn’t keep growing and blooming. These funds will directly support our Poets in Schools program so we may continue placing professional poets in local school districts for one week residencies, our 2026 Skagit River Poetry Festival so we can bring poets straight to you, and will help us keep hosting poetry related events throughout the year to highlight and uplift the voices of our Skagit and surrounding communities. The arts need all the support it can get right now. People’s lives and their well-being are improved through the opportunity to create and the power of poetic expression, and you make that happen with your gift.

Not able to attend our auction, but would still like to donate? You still can! Online or by mail.

We were blooming with joy and gratefulness during our event – so happy to see our community come out and support us!

WA State Poet Laureate, Derek Sheffield, speaks about the importance of poetry and how he wants to focus on mental health in his new role – esp. in kids and teens.

One of our poets from our Poets in Schools program, Samar Abdulhassan, speaks about her monumental experiences in the classroom with kids exploring and writing poetry with them.
